Description or Theme of wedding: It was an elegant wedding/modern decor, and traditional Eritrean second day wedding.
The most memorable part of your wedding: There are so many beautiful memories. The exchange of our rings and our vows to one another was one of the best memories; to us it represented our never-ending union, life long commitment to marriage, and act of love. As well as our first look at our reception as husband and wife, and seeing how amazing our special day was as family and friends surrounded us.
Did you do anything unique, crazy or fun: At the altar my husband delivered a speech of marriage vows that he had prepared on paper for me, that made the day even more special.
What was the most difficult part about planning your wedding: The most difficult part of planning our wedding was finding a venue that would allow outside catering. My mother was dedicated to cooking the food for the wedding, which mad it difficult to find an accommodating venue that was large enough to hold all the wedding guests and allow outside catering.
What was the easiest part about planning your wedding: There isn’t anything easy about planning a wedding for 1000 guests, but finding vendors was not difficult since we received referrals from friends and family for a photographer, cake, makeup artist, florist etc.
Any words of wisdom to the couple planning their wedding: The best advice I can give a couple planning a wedding is at the end of the day you married each other and it’s about you two celebrating your love and that’s all that really matters. It’s your special day, everything else (decor, dress, flowers, music) is cherry on top. Also be sure to pick bridesmaids and groomsmen who will help you. We were blessed with an amazing wedding party to help us. Start wedding planning as soon as possible, which will help you, find vendors that will fit your budget. Lastly relax, and enjoy your special day!
