Description or Theme of wedding: For the Henna celebration, the theme was 1001 Arabian & Habesha Nights/ For Italy it was Vintage Jazzy Chic!
The most memorable part of your wedding: In Abu Dhabi was when my sister surprised me with a video to commemorate my late father and seeing all the love from all my family. In Italy, it was how my mother, aunties, uncles, siblings and cousins stuck together to make ends meet. It rained on our wedding day and it ruined a lot of things for us, but nevertheless, it was still a beautiful day surrounded by so much love.
Did you do anything unique, crazy or fun: We had an amazing jazz performer, and for our wedding favors, we donated to refugee orphaned children who in return drew some representations of love for our guests which accompanied a box filled with traditional, Italian love knot cookies that represented eternal love and bond. This really wowed our guests.
What was the most difficult part about planning your wedding: Me being in Dubai and my husband being in Italy at the time, trying to coordinate pretty much everything from far was a challenge. Destination weddings aren’t the easiest but we proved to be a team and still made it work.
What was the easiest part about planning your wedding: Picking the theme. Both my husband and I have very similar taste when it comes to style, fashion, and music. We both love vintage and street style, so we kept the classiness of the old however we added our touch of music and vibe.
Any words of wisdom to the couple planning their wedding: Take your time and enjoy the planning journey.
